What We Do
At GDC Urban Farming, we go beyond raised garden beds. We design, supply, and install complete backyard-to-table food gardens, so you can grow real food where you live, work, or learn. Our system is built around handcrafted raised beds, protective covers, quality soil, and productive plants – supported by delivery, installation, and practical growing guidance to ensure long-term success.
Whether it’s a home food garden, a school initiative, or a community space, we make growing food simple, rewarding, and easy to maintain.
What We Offer

We’re also developing the True Roots Garden Initiative, with plans to expand into schools across South Africa in the near future.

Our Recent Projects
Port Shepstone KwaZulu Natal
Located just 5 minutes from the town centre, this fully functional urban homestead features 10 raised garden beds, a smart automated drip irrigation system installed beneath the paving, and a purposebuilt seedling nursery and harvest shed designed to support ongoing seasonal production.
Munster KwaZulu Natal
Aptly named The Harvest Haven, we installed eight custom-built raised garden beds within their grow house and tunnels, as well as additional outdoor beds featuring our protective covers.
Hillcrest Durban
These two raised beds turned an overlooked space into the starting point of a thriving urban homestead at this North Coast property.
Southbroom KwaZulu Natal
What was once a neglected grow house has been transformed with three brand-new raised garden beds, while two older beds were given new life—redesigned using reclaimed hardwood from the original setup.
